OPSEC.live aims to provide a single easy-to-user service for assessing one's presence on the internet. The complexity of technologies involved in a web request can lead to un-intended information leaking when attempting to be anonymous while browsing. Secondly, the service acts as an education piece on passive fingerprinting techniques employed by fraud prevention and security software and be used for some of the following use cases:

• Basic IP information tool
• Verify the reputation of your VPN or proxy IP
• See what you need to change to not give away the fact you are being proxied or are spoofing portions of your connection
• Bypassing passive detection checks on websites (although OPSEC.live does not condone illegal activity)
